Lisa Ackerman grew up in a house full of boys in Norwalk, CT and spent her youth between being a tomboy and girly-girl. She hated sports but loved horror movies. Afraid of spiders but loved snakes. Down with Barbie, My Little Pony, and G.I. Joe. She dabbled in dance, gymnastics and music lessons throughout elementary school and in high school dabbled in swimming and even track (hated running). However, nothing stuck. She was brought to her first yoga class at a local gym in her late teens by a friend. The only memory of that class was the savasana and the music-both of which stuck. From that point on, she had an on-again-off-again relationship with yoga until her late 20's when she decided to commit. Her yoga teaching is informed by years of practice and study in nearly every yoga style as well as her interest in anatomy, alignment, different movement modalities, self-inquiry, and exploration. Her ability to anticipate the needs of others, connect with a room, and hold space for all is what makes her style of teaching unique. Her classes are designed to get students to simply connect with themselves. Through breathing practices, movement, meditation and conscious effort, we are all able to master the mind.

Michelle Morris - Bio
My journey started in 2011 when I left my corporate job after 10 years. Working in corporate, I was never truly happy or fulfilled and was always thinking there must be something more for me and to life.
Originally from Lakewood Colorado, my background is in dance and gymnastics. I continued with adult classes and had injured myself, leaving me with a herniated disc.
This injury devastated me for years. I began a yoga practice at home and the pain I had been experiencing disappeared like a miracle.
I then thought I would like to venture into being a yoga teacher myself. I loved how I felt each time I practiced, and with the practice contributing to the healing of my injury I wanted to share that with others.
In 2013 I received my 200 hr RYT and started teaching yoga at a local gym and a few yoga studios in Central Florida.
I then furthered my education and was certified in Yoga for Kids and Yoga for Golfers and then went on to receive my 500 RYT in 2016. Later I also received training in Empower Movement Advanced Teacher Training, Yoga Nidra, Sound Healing and Reiki 1.
I additionally became certified as a Mind Mastery Health Coach. In 2018 I purchased Bombay Room Yoga, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
My intent is to help people live their best lives, to help people find peace, healing, love and success for themselves. To inspire, bring forth positive light and energy, add value and make a difference in the lives of others.
In 1979 I received a Master in Nutiriton, took my first yoga class in college in the 1970's and got into KUNDALINI and started teaching it in 1985..other yoga practice and study entered my life, which led to an integrated multidisciplinary approach in addition to Kundalini. My teachings are influenced by Iyengar, Dharma and Ashtanga yoga, teaching in New York City since 1985, established a small intimate retreat in northern Maine in 1997 where I offer retreats May to October. I have also taught nidra, yin, restorative and meditation, pranayama.
