Meet Jennifer Heard PhD (DNM), RYT, she believes that life is about balance; mental, physical, spiritual. When the scales are tipped in favor of one over others imbalances will show up in the form of physical or mental health issues. Jennifer aims to help people discover their unique life combination in order to create and maintain balance to facilitate health, healing and wellbeing in all areas of life. Over years of practice, education and just plain living Jenn has come to understand that the science and theory of Yoga can be used to create a healthy body-mind-spirit.

Thankfully, I have been blessed to work with some incredible mentors throughout my life that have "shown me the ropes," yet allowed me the freedom & creativity to learn my body & mind and challenged me to do things I'd never done before. From the time I was an athletic trainer in high school, learning about the human body and how it functions, I have been drawn to continue my learning in every facet possible so that I can to be a better health & fitness professional each day. I am profoundly passionate about the gifts and talents I've been blessed with and I also aspire to always be as humble as possible when it comes to learning in my industry, because that is how we grow as fitness professionals. Over the last 5 years, I have come to realize what I love most in life is being in community with others, sharing thoughts, ideas, experiences, and even health "hacks" that may add value to people's lives. I have been gifted with the opportunity to offer support and to meet people's needs the best way I know how; whether it's with knowledge, resources, networking, or products I'm passionate about. It's all about the personal connections and the incredible journey we each traverse. I am beyond grateful for every person I meet who shares their uniqueness with me & every life I'm allowed to be apart of, no matter how big or small. I genuinely believe each of us has greatness within us and and gifts that are our own, and they make us unique, yes, BUT they are nothing if we do not share them with the world and most importantly they can't be shared if we are not caring for the messenger vessel itself- our body. My mission with teaching through this incredible platform is to inspire dreams, change lives, and empower a holistic approach to healthy living from the inside out. After spending several years dealing with severe digestive issues, while pursuing a career in marketing and advertising, Amie's health continued to deteriorate. Amie decided to take her health into her own hands and sought alternative options. It wasn't until she began working with an Integrative Medical Doctor that Amie learned she was suffering from heavy metal accumulation and was born without the gene to absorb folate, key in detoxification. This made Amie realize that medicine can only do so much - it wasn't offering her body what it needed to heal. Using acupuncture, yoga, meditation, herbal medicine, and fresh, whole, unprocessed foods, Amie healed and remains 100% symptom free nearly five years later. Amie is unable to digest gluten, sugar and oils. The past few years Amie has discovered she is allergic to sulfates and cannot digest packaged foods, therefore she follows a Clean lifestyle filled with lean proteins, health fats and lots of veggies. In 2011, she quit her corporate job in order to focus on her consulting business, in which she develops recipes, makes media appearances, and engages consumer groups on behalf of food companies. In addition, Amie is active in many organizations that focus on food, nutrition and health.
