Charles F. Glassman, MD has practiced internal medicine for over 25 years. Over this time, he has observed that many medical problems and physical symptoms arise from our ability to manage the challenges of everyday life. In 2002, he became the tenth doctor in the US to form what is known as a concierge or patient-focused practice. Such a practice has permitted him time to explore how stress interferes with our ability to obtain optimal, holistic health-balancing mind, body, and spirit. His first book, the award winning Brain Drain, is a handbook on how to overcome common roadblocks to success and a joyful deeply meaningful life. Seeing that his practice was evolving into a true holistic one, he began calling himself Coach MD. As Coach MD, his internet and social media presence has grown with over 235k fans on Facebook alone, with a global reach of over six million. People look to Dr. Glassman, for his keen understanding of the human condition and often turn to his website, where he gets over 1 million page views per month. He has recently completed a new book manuscript and frequently adds content to his website. Dr. Glassman lives in Rockland County New York with his wife Melanie, their four children and dog, Ginger.
"To get what you've never had, you must do what you've never done." --Thomas Jefferson Stepping outside your comfort zone can be daunting, even just in your daily personal life and especially when it comes to health & fitness. Thankfully, I have been blessed to work with some incredible mentors throughout my life that have "shown me the ropes," yet allowed me the freedom & creativity to learn my body & mind and challenged me to do things I'd never done before. From the time I was an athletic trainer in high school, learning about the human body and how it functions, I have been drawn to continue my learning in every facet possible so that I can to be a better health & fitness professional each day. I am profoundly passionate about the gifts and talents I've been blessed with and I also aspire to always be as humble as possible when it comes to learning in my industry, because that is how we grow as fitness professionals. Over the last 5 years, I have come to realize what I love most in life is being in community with others, sharing thoughts, ideas, experiences, and even health "hacks" that may add value to people's lives. I have been gifted with the opportunity to offer support and to meet people's needs the best way I know how; whether it's with knowledge, resources, networking, or products I'm passionate about. It's all about the personal connections and the incredible journey we each traverse. I am beyond grateful for every person I meet who shares their uniqueness with me & every life I'm allowed to be apart of, no matter how big or small. I genuinely believe each of us has greatness within us and and gifts that are our own, and they make us unique, yes, BUT they are nothing if we do not share them with the world and most importantly they can't be shared if we are not caring for the messenger vessel itself- our body. My mission with teaching through this incredible platform is to inspire dreams, change lives, and empower a holistic approach to healthy living from the inside out. I look forward to sharing & learning with each of you and building our relationship.
