Many people have issues with insulin sensitivity and insulin levels but follow a diet low in simple sugars and exercise regularly. The goal of this class will be to cover some often over-looked factors that interfere with blood sugar, insulin, and insulin receptors. These range from gut pathogens to endocrine-disrupting chemicals. We will discuss action steps to begin addressing these imbalances.
In this class I will list and explain the best superfoods that will help manage diabetes and blood sugar as well as explain the many other health benefits of these foods. I will also be discussing the importance of regular exercise in helping to prevent and manage diabetes and what kind of exercises get the best results.

Presently I am the director of STILLPOINT SCHOOLHOUSE and STILLPOINT YOGA STUDIO designed for willing individuals to achieve optimal health and well being. Ambitious? I agree, but when based on my 30 years of study, experience and practice I feel I have something to contribute. She has worked as a renal case manager and clinical dietitian at Jackson Health System in Miami, Florida. Wanda has also been Chief Clinical Dietitian at Hialeah Hospital Hialeah, FL. She is a member of the American Association of Diabetes Educators. Wanda's interests include translation, running, circuit training, visit historic small towns and healthy cooking.
